From Kent fields to your basket
The Osei family opened Fern & Field in 2011 with one rule: if it grows within ten miles, it gets shelf space. Morning deliveries bring berries, greens and orchard fruit; the chalkboard by the door lists exactly which farm each item came from that day.
Beyond the shelves, the shop runs a volunteer delivery round every Thursday for residents who can’t get out — organised jointly with the society — and stocks the community orchard’s surplus jam each autumn.

Neighbours Say
“The chalkboard tells you the apples were picked yesterday six miles away. My kids now refuse supermarket fruit — honestly, so do I.”
